As we do every year we have chosen a few charities that have impacted our year at Green Light Creative.
This year we have chosen the following charities as they have affected our lives in some way. www.dreams2live4.org.au - Dreams2live4 makes dreams come true for patients who are living with Metastatic cancer meaning any cancer that has spread www.sherescuehome.org - The SHE Rescue Home is a safe haven for girls under 16 who have been trafficked, prostituted, raped or are at risk. www.livin.org - LIVIN is all about living your life at the top and breaking the stigma around mental health. Connecting, supporting and encouraging one another to talk about their feelings and challenges because “It Ain’t Weak to Speak”. We hope that everyone can take time to be thankful for life's gifts and if you can give back to our community in anyway you can. Green Light Creative wishes everyone love and joy over the festive season and we look forward to seeing you all in 2018.

We are always on the go and thought we should share our adventures with our clients so you can see what we are up to when we are not at our desks. Check out our feed at @green_light_creative_go As part of Open House Brisbane 2017 Green Light Creative were briefed by the team at West Village - Sekisui House to design the signage for the Peters Factory warehouse spaces.
The highlight of the job were the ten informative panels that hung from the rafters in the Peters Cone Factory. The soft banners beautifully contrasted the industrial feel and provided easy to digest information about the factories history. These panels made an interactive experience for the visitors to move though the space and the bonus is; they can be used again as they are so easy to store and simple to install!
Green Light is so proud to have been involved in the Project Management of The Deck Northshore. Now open to the public it has been humbling to hear feedback about how much people love the beautiful design by Anna O'Gorman. It was a pleasure to work with Anna and builder Charles Warren and his team to bring this to life. We are also excited that M A C P H E R S O N S T U D I O has kindly shared their beautiful photos with us. You can read more about what we were involved in a blog post from earlier this year. Green Light is thrilled to be part of the exciting King Street precinct. We recently had the pleasure of creating lifelike hoarding panels for The Yards building facade.
Our designers spent a lot of time in Photoshop weaving together these realistic scenes to create a glimpse of how the retail spaces will be used. Check it out and make sure you stop at one of their already open amazing restaurants. Photographs by Kelsey | L O C K I N G T O N On a warm weekend in April, within a historical ice-cream factory; Bromley & Co. released a wonderland of unique objects, paintings, sculptures, and collectables to the public. The 'Bromley Room (a very big room)' Showcase of interior design was a spectacular reveal of the 12 month West Village artists in residence - whom which successfully pulled the event together in one-week-and-a-half.
Green Light Creative, partnered with Think Business Solutions, met with David and Yuge Bromley to install the eye-catching silhouette portraits on the top level of the Peters Ice-cream Factory. The Collection, painted on plywood boards, were entwined with directional signage (also painted by Bromley), for the launch date of the 'Bromley Room'. The West Village Ice-cream festival was the best way to see out the summer weather, melting hearts all around with a flurry of our favourite Ice-cream desserts. Located in the historic Peters Ice-cream Factory, the festival held all things sweet and creamy, with Brisbane's coolest vendors, like; Doughnut Bar, Gelato Messina, Minus 32, Frozen Sunshine, Boss Bites, and many more. After 70 years since the closure of the Factory, it was certainly a treat to see ice-cream smothered smiles within the vicinity once again. Not only, self-deemed taste testers; Green Light Creative were proudly apart of the production team, in conjunction with Think Business Solutions, designing and installing the signage collateral for the most anticipated festival. Including a few event toppings, like;
The historic Peters building is one of two buildings that will be preserved as part of developer Sekisui House's masterplan for West Village. An up-and-coming precinct that will include apartments, townhouses, community spaces and extensive parkland, and beautifully architected retail & food laneways. With the success of the first Ice-cream festival, there is no doubt that the festival will be an annual treat for Brisbanites! See you there! As our company grows, our thirst to start company traditions has been building, and we figured that a great place to start is by giving back. Recently, we began donating to the It's Not Ok Projects - a foundation built on assiting those affected by human trafficking in Cambodia.
The SHE Rescue Home (a tier of the It's Not Ok Projects) serves as a safe-haven for girls, some as young as 5- years-old, who have been victim to human trafficking, or at-risk of this. Modern day slavery within Cambodia has been an ongoing issue that subjects children to prostitution, abuse and sexual assault. Many factors are responsibile of this unfortunate outcome and it generally roots from poverty, unemployment and/or addiction within the family home. It is a labyrinthine of sociological and economincal issues that contribute to a child's vulnerability to trafficking, and the aftermath can be equally devasting. The SHE Rescue Home works in partnership with local and international agencies in Cambodia to give girls, as well as their families and communities, opportunities to reshape their lives. After much consideration we landed on these sweet little Cookie Mix Jars. With options for our gluten free friends, we definitely had to "product test" these in the studio before sending these out! Relying on a somewhat functioning conventional microwave had proven faulty, and after a long wait for freshly baked cookies, we ended up with a light, and gooey, cookie-flavoured pudding. It was magical. We can defintiely say that the cookie dough tastes A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Of course another attempt was destined to happen, and with a working oven, the end result was 6 moist cookies with melting drops of chocolate through-out. Needless to say they did not last long at all. ...again!
We sure have seen a lot of change over the last year. We first came to Bakery Lane in 2015, moving into a shared studio. As the year progressed, we grew big enough to make it on our own and purchased our own (tiny) studio on the level below. We welcomed Kelsey as our Production Studio Manager; convinced John, our Senior Graphic Designer, to hang out with us full-time; and our bookkeeper, Joanne, returned to work after having her super adorable baby. As we are now planning to expand our team with another in-house designer, we were in dire need to move from our small, yet lovely, studio 4 into something with a little more space. And so, we made the epic move... ...next door. You will now find us at Studio 3! It's a little bigger and a lot brighter. We're still really excited about it. If you have not already popped into Bakery Lane, come on up to studio 3 and say hi! Try one of the fantastic restaurants we have in our lane, our run in to indulge in some delightful freshly made brownies. See you soon! How rare it is these days to have the chance to go to a real Spring Fair? Not too rare at all if you're lucky enough to live in Spring Mountain. Every year, Peet Pty Ltd host a rustic and authentic Spring Fair at the Spring Mountain Reserve Park located in Greenbank.
With carnival rides, a petting zoo, face painting, live entertainment, food pavilions, and giveaways in abundance; The Spring Mountain Spring Fair has something for everyone. In co-ordination with P3 Events, Green Light Creative had the privilege to supply and install all signage production for this exciting event, including a large list of marketing collateral;
What we really were excited about were these rustic looking directional signs we fabricated out of wood! An economical and environmentally mindful, re-usable solution for a fantastic annual event. We hope to see you there next year! Green Light Creative happily works in conjunction with larger creative teams across Australia, ensuring an "on the ground" approach to the production needs of our client. We strive to produce everything we do with high priority and standards. For this event we adapted concepts created by Martins Brand House.
For the exciting launch of sales at one of Queensland newest areas, Flagstone at Jimboomba we had a long long list of items we provided:
The launch event, co-ordinated by P3 Events went amazingly well and there is certainly a palpable buzz about the future of this exciting project. For Woodlands Andergrove in Mackay we had the pleasure of designing the community parkland signs, and who doesn't love a stroll in a parklands (all be it with a measuring wheel and GPS in tow)!
